Blackout Shines!

I just heard the entire new album from Britney Spears "Blackout" and the verdict is that it's actually pretty good. Britney has succeeded in not letting her personal life affect her music. The entire CD contains synth fuelled beats and her voice is more distorted than ever. Let's face it Britney can't sing but she does entertain on and off the stage.
The CD opens with the seductive bass of "Gimme More" and ends with the Pharell produced ballad "Why I'm so sad". Most of the CD will be heavily played in the clubs and there are a few radio friendly songs like "Get Naked (I Got A Plan)", which is one of two songs that her voice is not distorted and she actually tries to sing. "Toy Soldier" is very M.I.A inspired and "Ooh Ooh Baby" is a definite club hit. There are a couple of fillers in the CD not worth mentioning. At least, Britney addresses her chaos in the song "Piece of ME". All in all its a good CD with great production.
My Rating: Light shines on "Blackout"
