Today is a truly sad day in music history as Mariah Carey scores her 18th number 1 song surpassing Elvis Presley. "Touch My Body" has reached number 1 this week marking this a historical moment for Ms. Carey. The Beatles hold the record for having the most number 1 hits of any artist of all time. She is knocking on their door to claim the title.
"Touch My Body" is a weak single. Its getting modest radio play, the song is horrible, and it was quickly decending on the charts. Last week, the song was released for purchase on itunes. Thanks to itunes, the song was boosted to the number1 position solely on sales.
Mariah Carey is definitely a vocalist. She makes some decent songs that are radio friendly but I don't know the obsession with her? Her voice is not as good as it once was, her music sounds all the same, and her look is slutty as all hell. Her music has no message, no point, no creativity. She simply sings a song with a hook and adds a guest rapper to it. I give it to Mariah for picking the right songs but it just shows us how the music industry is hurting. I'm not a hater just keeping it real!
