By now you've all heard that the were some allegations made that one of the matrons sexually abused one of the girls at Oprah's Academy. Well Oprah found out and suspended the principal for not informing her right away and make immediate trips to South Africa. She conducted her own investigation as well as giving each girl a cell phone with her personal phone number if something else occurs.
Now there has been an arrest made but authorities have not released a name. Oprah release the following statement: "I'd like to thank the South African Police Services for bringing this investigation at my Academy to a timely resolution. I am grateful for their compassion and sensitivity to the girls during this difficult time. It means the world to me. It is my deepest hope that the accused is brought to justice and that this serves as a reminder that any time a child has the courage to step forward, it is our duty as adults to listen and take immediate action."
