"I Am Legend" took in 76.5 million at the box office making it the number one movie in America and making it the biggest opening for a film in December.
"Alvin & The Chipmunks" took in $45 million doubling what the movie studio expected the film to do.
Nicole Kidman's "The Golden Compass" has officially become a flop dropping to only 9 million in the 2nd week. The film has barely grossed 40 million and cost 180 million.
