I know 24th day was released in 2004 but my late ass just saw this movie. A movie about an Hiv-positive man who kidnaps the man who he thinks gave it to him. The movie is based on a play written by Tony Piccirillo and the movie was directed by him as well.
24th Day, is basically a power play between the two characters throughout the movie. It manages to make you feel compassionate for the kidnapper and his hostage at the same time. Tom (Scott Speedman) kidnapped Dan (James Mardsen) who potentially infected Tom with the HIV virus from a one night stand 5 years prior. Dan claims to be negative and is tested all the time. Tom was married when he strayed and his wife found out she was HIV-positive but died in a car accident after leaving the doctor's office hearing the devastating news. Tom decided to kidnap Dan and have his blood tested, if it came back negative he is free to go, if it's positive Tom would kill him.
Is Dan positive? Does Tom kill Dan? Did Tom get the virus from someone else? Did Tom's wife get the virus and infect him? All these questions are potentially answered in the movie.
I loved the power play between the two characters but I hated the fact that there were not hot steamy love scenes with James Mardsen. OOOOOhhh Weeeeee! He is HAWT!!!!!!!!
