I didn't blog about it until I had confirmation. There were many reports this morning going around the web that Patrick Swayze had 5 to 6 weeks to live. The National Enquirer broke the news about the "Dirty Dancing" star this morning. Patrick, 55, is currently filming a movie and is keeping his normal schedule, according to his rep. Here is the official statement has been released:
In a statement obtained by ET his rep says: "Actor Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. Patrick's physician Dr. GEORGE FISHER states, 'Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the time frame of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic.' Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects. The outpouring of support and concern he has already received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family."
Typically someone with this type of cancer has 4 to 6 month life expectancy. My heart and prayers are with Mr. Swayze.
