I Want My BTV

I don't report too much Britney because I really want her to get help. But there are two news worthy things to talk about the drama that is "These Are The Days of Brits Life."

Britney has been awarded an allowance as a Los Angeles judge ruled today. Britney is to get $1500 while she is getting her life together. Britney, who is estimated to be worth $100 million, will be getting her allowance and also get a couple new attorneys to be on call for any questions whenever she has them.

Also, Britney will return to TV as a guest artist on the CBS show "How I Met Your Mother." I think it's too soon but hell at least she's working and focused.

Madonna Inducted in Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

Madonna accepted her induction to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with a pretty saucy speech. She called the audience a room full of mothefuckers and told her stories of life in the music industry. Her experiences including splitting a tab of Ecstasy with a music producer and smoking a joint with her long time publicist.

Maddy don't give a fuck! She is 49, the most successful female artist of our time, and just signed a huge new deal with Live Nation. She has no regrets. I say do what you do! I hope your new album is off the chain.

Logo's New PSA!

Logo has put together a very important PSA. Check it out:

I'm glad that a variety of celebrities are taking interest in this but I have to get off track for a quick min. Janet, the hair? Really? Still insisting on the poodle do? Sorry guys just had to say something.

New York Governor Going Down!

The New York Times is reporting that Governor Eliot Spitzer has told senior administation that he was involved in a prostitution ring. Gov. Spitzer is meeting with top aides and is expected to make an official statement this afternoon.

This comes as a shock to some officials about the man that Time Magazine called "Crusader of the Year." Tabloids labeled him "Eliot Ness," after the hero in the crime drama "The Untouchables," because of his reputation for rooting out corruption, busting white-collar criminals and tackling organized crime

Whoops, his ass is tha rough! He is going down and not in a good way!

Despite getting horrible reviews and possibly named the worst movie of the year, the weekend box office was stomped by 10,000 B.C. The previews looked amazing and so did the graphics. But I ran into a few people that saw it and hated it.

The biggest flop was Will Ferrell's movie "Semi Pro" that fell from the top stop to number 4 with only 5 million in ticket sales. That is quite a drop from 18 million. Here are the top 5 movies in America:
1
10,000 B.C.
Warner Bros. Pictures Distribution
$35,730,000

2
College Road Trip
Buena Vista Pictures Distribution
$14,000,000

3
Vantage Point
Sony Pictures Releasing
$7,500,000

4
Semi-Pro
New Line Cinema
$5,900,000

Fox Searchlight Pictures has cast Jamal Woolward, a rapper from Brooklyn, to play the late Notorious B.I.G. in the upcoming biopic. The film is slated for an early 09 release and has casted Angela Bassett to play Biggie's mom and Anthony Mackie to play "P Diddy," who is also the executive producer.

Gay in the City (Too Much Affection?)

When you're in a relationship new or old you are affectionate towards each other, or maybe you're not. I have entered new territory in terms of being in a relationship and being affectionate. I'm actually comfortable holding hands and hugging and being close next to my boyfriend which is as much surprise to me as it is to everyone else that makes jokes about it.

Recently I've been told that it may be too much. I was actually confused as to what is too much meant to each individual and what that meant for me. I also was told to maybe tone it down if I had company in my home depending on who was over.

I strongly disagreed with all of them. I don't feel that I am showing too much affection. I am showing more so than I have ever. It feels right and comfortable. I don't think that I should tone it down in my own home? Come on!

This is not a gay vs straight issue but what some of the straight friends fail to realize that they are able to walk down the street holding hands without cause of concern and as gay people we are not able to do so. I think straight people take for granted that they are able to show affection anytime or anywhere and we, as gay men, are not. So I feel that I like to take advantage and be affectionate with my loved one whenever I have the opportunity because we are limited. This isn't about wrong or right but more of an understanding from the point of view as a gay individual. This is also not a gay card I'm pulling. I just think we all need to see different points. Many of times I see many heterosexual couples holding hands, kissing, hugging, showing each other their love. We can only do all those things if we are in boystown or in our home.

I strongly refuse to tone it down in my own home regardless of who is over. Friends and family need to realize that walking into my home, you are walking into my life as a gay man and expect for my significant other to be there and to be loving towards me as any man and woman would be to each other. If that offends or bothers you, then respectfully, coming into my home may not be an option for you.

I guess that poses the questions, when is affection too much? When does it die down? Does it die down? Should it be contained for the sake of other people? All these questions is just another part of being Gay in the City.

Whitney (Crackhead) Houston New Release!

Ok, Whitney is on track to release her new album by the holiday season for 2008, per Clive Davis. He went on to state that four songs have been completed already. "We're on track for a holiday release," he said. "We're not going to compromise who she is to fit into today's hip-hop radio market. The public wants Whitney material." says Clive Davis.

Public? Um, no one is dying for a Whitney comeback and you better be careful cuz you been trying to get her ass clean and sober for 2 years now. It doesn't take two years to record 4 songs. Let's face it, bitch can't sang no mo. But we'll give her a chance. Sorry for that pic guys I just couldnt resist.

New Janet: Rock Wit U!

Janet's new video is pretty hot and quite as seductive as the song itself. The one thing about her videos lately is that they all look similar, aside from "Feedback"

Janet needs a new look for her videos. Her hair is banging though!

Idol Gives Back!

Idol gives back is here again. Last year Idol did a show dedicated to help various charities both national and international. The show helped raise $76 million for the charities definitely exceeding any expectations the producers had. This year they want to recreate the same magic and pulling in some big stars along for the ride. The show is scheduled for April 9, 2007. I urge you guys to tune in and donate whatever you can. The power of Idol doesn't compare to the power of Americans who care. Read below:

Having garnered a prestigious Governor's Award Emmy for raising an incredible $76 million last year, the charitable special IDOL GIVES BACK returns with another star-studded event Wednesday, April 9 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

IDOL GIVES BACK is a music celebration raising awareness and benefiting various U.S. and international charities. This year's event will be bigger and more ambitious than ever, and will feature incredible international talent including Bono, Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Fergie, Chris Daughtry, Carrie Underwood, Annie Lennox, John Legend and Snoop Dogg. Additional artists scheduled to appear to be announced.

The star-studded evening will echo the success of last year's IDOL GIVES BACK, which raised over $76 million for various U.S. charities that deliver support to underprivileged children in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the country, providing them with medical care, food and grocery products, health and life skills and literacy programs, among other important initiatives. In Africa, funds were dedicated to organizations that support efforts to battle poverty through various health and education programs, including delivering medical supplies and providing clean water.

The brainchild of Simon Fuller, IDOL GIVES BACK has been recognized as a life-changing program, earning praise from many of the world's best known figures including President George W. Bush, HRH Prince Charles and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Last season's IDOL GIVES BACK special featured performances from the AMERICAN IDOL stage, where Ryan Seacrest hosted alongside judges Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell.

Love This Group!

Ya'll gotta check out Belanova! I know I'm a bit late on them but I loooove their music. I also love this chicks voice. Check it out:

New Ashlee Simpson

The first single "Outta My Head" failed to ignite radio despite the track was produced by Timbaland. The record company for Ashlee dumped it and has now officially named "Little Miss Obsessive" as her first single. It's not bad but I don't think Ashlee can recreate the magic of her first two albums.

Sequel Alert!

Here it is:

Final Destination 4

The film follows a group of young people, who are once again stalked by death, after one of them receives a premonition that ends up saving their lives during a deadly racecar crash that kills the drivers and many onlookers in the stands.

Filming begins this month and it looks like the movie studio is looking at an October release. I can't beleive they're making a fourth installment. Hollywood is running out of ideas for films. (I know I'm talking shit but ya'll know I'm gonna see it)

HoMo Club Alert

New horror movie alert! Brooke Shields stars in a new scary movie called "Midnight Meat Train",due out May 16th 2008, and this shit looks good. Two things, I love scary movies and I love the fact that Brooke Shields is working again.

New Jordin Sparks

Sparks 2nd single "No Air" featuring Chris Brown is a top twenty hit .The video just came out and its pretty lame. The song is decent but the video is weak. Chris Brown coulda helped Jordan do something a little better. She does look great though! Someone's on a diet.

Fallen Star

Remember little Andy from Family Ties? That sweet innocent kid that Alex Keaton took care. Yeah, well not so sweet anymore. This is him now charged for battery. He was charged with battery against his ex-girlfriend and was sentenced to probation. He has cleaned up being sober for the past 6 months and now joined a punk band. I wonder what the Keatons would think of this.

Seriously?

The most anticipated film of the year? Maybe for the new Batman movie but not for this shit! I mean seriously, do we need a film about Anna Nicole Smith?

Demi on the Cover of Harper's Bazaar Magazine

No this isn't a remake of the Addams Family, it's Demi Moore and her girls in Harper's Bazaar Magazine. Demi does look good for 45 but she should, hell she paid for it. Her daughters are aight but that Rumer Willis is one fugly girl. I know she's out an about trying to get a job but home girl is beat up from the feet up. Sorry boo, just sayin'!

The Story of a Man

A man who was born and raised by a single mother in Mexico. A single mother who worked at a bar and did her best raising two boys.

A man that had no father to guide him into manhood.

A man who went to school as much as he could, but worked most of his childhood and all of his adolescence.

A man who lived through poverty and hardship.

A man who, at a young age, had more family struggles than the average boy.

A man who in the midst of all his trials and tribulations saw a light. A light that shined his destiny.

That light was her!

A man who, without searching, found his true love, his soul mate. Finding his true love finally completed his journey of the man he was trying to become.

A man who married his destiny and moved to another country in pursuit of a better life for his wife and himself.

A man who, upon arriving to this country, finally met his father. The father that was never there for him, the father that he never knew.

A man who gained a father and a family of brothers & sisters much to his surprise.

A man that had to adapt to a new culture, a new language, and a new family.

A man that was over-whelmed with emotions of establishing a relationship with the father he had long yearned for.

A man that was not initially accepted by society and by his new family.

A man who established a new life, a new career, and a family of his own.

A man who was faced with being a father, a role that was never present in his life.

A man who made many mistakes as a father, due to the lack of knowledge of what it took to be a father.

A man who took his children to church every Sunday.

A man who made success of his career.

A man who surpassed his own expectations as a provider, a husband, and a son.

A man who brought his mother to this country so he could care for her as she did for him.

A man who brought his brother from Mexico in hopes he would create a better life for himself.

A man who was faced with the most tragic thing a parent could endure; the loss of a teenage daughter.

A man who felt that when his daughter passed a part of him passed with her. A piece of his soul was gone.

A man who lost the one woman who cared for him and nurtured him: his mother.

A man who became a grandfather and tried to mend the mistakes as a father with his grandchildren.

A man who was diagnosed with Cancer and survived

A man who has dedicated his entire life to make his wife happy.

A man who has overcome obstacles in his life that are unimaginable.

A man who has inspired me to become a better man.

This man is my maternal grandfather Jesus Gonzalez. My grandfather's story is just so inspiring to me. I truly value him as my grandfather and I admire him as a man. I have a very special relationship with him and my grandmother. I contact them often and I even make it a point to visit them. I am lucky to have them in my life and I have stated that if I ever become half the man that my grandfather is then I have become the man I need to be.

Confirmed Patrick Swayze Has Cancer

I didn't blog about it until I had confirmation. There were many reports this morning going around the web that Patrick Swayze had 5 to 6 weeks to live. The National Enquirer broke the news about the "Dirty Dancing" star this morning. Patrick, 55, is currently filming a movie and is keeping his normal schedule, according to his rep. Here is the official statement has been released:

In a statement obtained by ET his rep says: "Actor Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. Patrick's physician Dr. GEORGE FISHER states, 'Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the time frame of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic.' Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects. The outpouring of support and concern he has already received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family."

Typically someone with this type of cancer has 4 to 6 month life expectancy. My heart and prayers are with Mr. Swayze.

Janet Jackson: Good News & Bad News

The good news:

Janet has topped the billboard charts with "Discipline" selling 181,000 copies. Janet dethroned Jack Jackson from the top spot which he held for three weeks. This is Janet Jackson's sixth album to top the charts her previous two efforts debut at number 2.

The bad news:

Even though Janet topped the charts it showed her decline in support. She had massive promotional push for this album because the label believed in it. Unfortunately, the first week sales have been her lowest. In 2001 she released "All For You" which sold over 680,000 copies the first week. In 2004 she released "Damita Jo" with 381,000 copies, and her last effort 20 Y.O. sold 296,000.

Her previous efforts didn't receive good reviews and had a weak single to push. Janet and Jermain also stated that Virgin Records didn't promote the albums as they should. "Discipline" has been praised by critics and the lead single was hot and fresh yet radio didn't play it as much. The promotional push has been huge but yet sales aren't there. The decline in Janet's popularity can be caused by many different reasons, one thing for sure is that since her departure from her producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, her sales have never been the same.

Regardless Congrats to Miss Jackson for having the number 1 album in the country!

Battle of the Divas: Virgin VS Slut!

Two of music's biggest names are releasing CD's the same day, April 15th 2008. Pop princess Hanah Montana Miley Cyrus is releasing a CD/DVD of her highly successful tour 'Best of Both Worlds."Also Pop Whore Mariah, never too old to dress skanky, Carey is releasing her follow up CD to her multi-platinum "Emancipation of Mimi" entitled "E=MC2" Besides having a shitacious name for her CD she released her horrid first single "Touch My Body" and a suck ass video to accompany.

Mimi sold 5 million copies of her last CD with two number 1 singles. Miley had a sold out tour, a number 1 album, released her tour to theaters and has grossed 68 million at the box office. I believe "Glitter" grossed 2 million.

My bet is on Miley! Who do you think will have the number 1 album on April 15th? Vote on my side poll for Miley Virgin Cyrus or Mariah, never too old to dress skanky, Carey.

Idol Got David's Back!

That's what I'm saying! Idol sho has got David's back! The producer of the show Ken Warwick has released a statement to TV GUIDE saying we don't care! He says let America decide. Well Idol sho did get gay friendly this year, first with sista girl Danny and now this . GAY IDOL!

“We've had strippers on the show before…We're never judgmental about people who do things like that," Idol executive producer Ken Warwick tells TV Guide. " If it were some sort of heavy porn, then maybe we'd have to take action. But certainly not on this."

Living Large!

Whoops! Britney's Ex Kevin Federline packing some burgers in his shirt. The pic on the left is kevin in 2004 flash forward 4 years and you have Kevin x2. Looks like life is treating him well. I think a make over is in the works for Kevin.

Blake Lewis Performing on American Idol

As I mentioned before, Blake Lewis is releasing his second single to radio on 3/10/2008 in hopes to boost sales for his debut album "Audio Day Dream."

Blake is performing "How Many Words" on Thursday's American Idol show. The song is guaranteed to enter the charts with digital download sales. This may be the boost he needs in his lack luster sales.

In other news: Paula is rumored to perform her hit single "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow" on one of American Idol's upcoming shows.

The power of Idol!

Take It Off! Woo hoo!

American Idol contestant David Hernandez is feeling quite naked today. His past just has been exposed as a stripper in Glendalez, AZ. David Hernandez worked at "Dick's Cabaret" as a stripper and sometimes fully nude to the mostly male clientele, per club manager Gordy Brian.

Last week votefortheworst.com had posted the picture below showing David bar tending at a Gay Bar. Fox nor American Idol has commented as to what is going to happen, but it doesn't look good. This not the first time a scandal like this took place, ya'll remember Frenchie? How about Antonella? They let Frenchi go but kept Antonella no telling what they'll do.

I personally don't see anything wrong with it. Leave David alone. He had to do what he had to do in order to survive. I'm sure that if all of Hollywood would have background checks we'd find all sort of shit on 99 percent of those people. I also think its bogus that the club manager is speaking out to tell his story to the world. Gordy Brian is looking for his 15min of fame. Gordy watch out karma is gonna bite you in the ass and judging by your name you might have lots to bite on. I'm just sayin'!

I say focus on the competition and focus on the voice. If David can sing who cares what he did as long as he didn't break any laws. David you can sing for me and take it off and day! You got my vote today fo sho!

New Spiritual!

After seeing my movie "Why Did I Get Married?" I am quickly becoming a fan of the writer and producer Tyler Perry. Now he brings us a new spiritual "Meet the Browns" Ima see this movie fo sho! Looks like a true spiritual. Check out the trailer.

JLo Names Her Babies!

JLo and Mark Anthony and named her kids. I was hoping that they wouldn't name their kids those goofy celebrity names that have been going around. I also thought they would name their kids something Latin, but nope they didnt. They named their son Max (yep like a dog) and their daughter Emme (yep like Dorothy's aunt in the Wizard of Oz). BOOOOOOOOOOOORING and UUUUUUUUUUUUUGLY!

HoMo Club Alert

New horror flick alert! From the producers of "The Ring" and "The Grudge" comes "Shutter" I am so gonna see this shit! Not only for the movie but it's nice to see Joshua Jackson working again. Check it out!

Drew Barrymore Gives Big!

Drew Barrymore was on the Oprah Winfrey show and donated 1 million dollars of her own money to feed the children of Africa. She donated to the "World Food Program" in hopes to help end hunger in Africa. She stated that people may encourage you to think locally but to think Globally as Americans taking care of the world is a truly an amazing feeling.

I'm not a fan of Drew but LOOOOOVE her for doing this!

Oprah Gets Big!

Oprah's new reality show "Oprah's Big Give" premiered yesterday. The pay it forward reality show was viewed by 17 million people making it the most viewed program on Sunday. I am sorry to say that I missed the show but I will so check it out tonight.

Semi Pro Tops the Box Office

Semi Pro starring Will Farrell tops the box office this weekend with a modest opener. The movie was guaranteed the top spot for two reasons: 1. Will Farrell is in it and 2. It was the only major movie opener. I had no desire to see this movie and it just seems like he's been there done that and nothing new to see. The following are the top 5 movies:

1 Semi-Pro
New Line Cinema
$15,075,114

2
Vantage Point
Sony Pictures Releasing
$12,819,245

3
The Spiderwick Chronicles

4

New Blake Lewis

Blake Lewis will officially release his 2nd single to radio on March 10, 2008. His first single failed to enter the charts, hopefully this song will do better. In Loving Memory of Lawrence King

Ellen had an emotional moment on her show regarding Lawrence King a 15 year old boy who was killed because he was gay.

Ellen put it best we are not second class citizens neither was Lawrence King. To be killed simply because he was gay shows that our country is a long way from being free of discrimination.
