Jersey Boys

I went to see Jersey Boys last week with some friends. I know what you're all thinking, first the opera and then a musical yo ass is getting cultured! Well I is!

Jersey Boys is a documentary style musical based on the 60's rock group Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. I loooooved this musical! I never knew all the songs that Frankie Valli sang, I also didn't realize how those songs are embedded in American Culture.

The musical was fun and you'll find yourself singing and dancing to all the tunes. Go see this musical, trust me you are gonna love it!!!!

Tribute to Martin Luther King Jr.

Today we remember a great man who had a dream.

One Missed Call

I went to the movies to see "One Missed Call" and I shoulda left that way, Missed! I'm mad I answered that call! I saw the original Japanese version and the American version failed to make the movie scary.

It's definitely a scary thought of hearing a call from your voice moments before you die in the future. The Japanese version had the Erie feeling along with a scary ring tone. The American version added a bit to the storyline but failed to translate the horror aspect of the movie.

One Missed Call, let that shit ring!

Cloverfiled Smashed Competition!

Cloverfield smashed the competition breaking a record at the box office for a January film. Cloverfield made 41 million at the box office setting a record for the highest January opening. 27 Dresses came in at a distance but impressive 2nd with over 22 million. The other wide open release was Mad Money with Diane Keaton, Queen Latifa and Katie Holmes.

I went to the movies this weekend on this cold ass weekend. Lord knows my ass was freezing but there I was trying to go to the movies and I saw "One Missed Call." Now I was gonna see "Cloverfield" but my roomy saw it and she said the movie caused her to almost be sick due to the movement of the camera. I have heard people have thrown up due to motion sickness. Now ya'll know I was not gonna pay 10 dollars to throw up! I would rather pay a 60 dollar bar tab and throw up afterwards!

I was not trying to see "Mad Money" and apparently neither was America. I loooove Diane Keaton and the Queen but Katie Holmes? The only reason she got that roll is cuz she's married to Tom. Ya'll know that's true.

Anyway here is the top ten movies of the week!:

1 Cloverfield $41,000,000

2 27 Dresses $22,427,000

3 The Bucket List $15,150,000

4 Juno $10,250,000

5 National Treasure: Book of Secrets $8,148,000

6 First Sunday $7,800,000

7 Mad Money $7,700,000

8 Alvin and the Chipmunks $7,000,000

9 I Am Legend $5,105,000

10 Atonement $4,759,000

www.hookup.com

It was a hot rainy Saturday evening in June and Joel was getting ready to meet his friends for a night of dinner and drinks. Joel, 32 and good looking, was single and freshly out of a long term relationship that ended badly. His friends were there for him in his time of need but he leaned on three friends the most. Mojito, Tequila, and his girl Vodka, he was a hot mess out in the bars. He managed to get through his pain by drinking and sleeping with any and everyone that hit on him.

Joel met his boys at Las Mananitas for Mexican and Margaritas. He spent a good night of drinking and laughing with the guys. They all decided to go to Circuit for some dancing and some Latinos. But as the night went on Joel lost his buzz and found that there was nothing worth looking for at Circuit. “Guys I’m headed home, I can get laid much easier online than this place” said Joel. He left, got in his BMW and went home.

Joel walked in his nice and cool loft turned on the TV, took his clothes off that smelled like smoke, and put some boxers on. Joel really liked to walk around half naked, always checking himself out in the mirror. He had a nice six pack, a great set of pecks, and a new nipple ring. He was proud of his body after losing 30lbs.

He sat on his leather couch flipped through the channels and nothing was on. He looked at the clock 11:47pm, it was quite early for him. He got up went to his kitchen and made himself a vodka tonic. Feeling a bit more relaxed and in the mood for some hot sex, he opened his notebook and logged on. He was checking out all the blogs to see what was up in the world of Hollywood but he quickly lost interest and logged on to www.hookup.com.

Cruising the site he saw a hot man online. The profile stated that he was 40yo, good looking, successful businessman, workout 5 times a week, and an unbelievable body. His screen name was silverhr9in4u, so immediately attracted to him by his picture; Joel sent him an instant message.

“Hey there, hot pic man! Joel here” said Joel “Thanks man you got hot ass there too, Robert here but you can call me Rob” said silverhr9in4u. They kept instant messaging each other on their descriptions, likes, and dislikes. The conversation started to gear towards sex and what they were looking for. “Hey man you sound like a cool guy, I would love to get together and maybe mess around” said Joel. Robert replied “Fuck yeah man, I would love to fuck that tight ass of yours, can you travel?” Joel actually preferred to host, he had already taken off his clothes and relaxed, he also doesn’t like to hook up anywhere but the comfort of his own home. Joel explained that to Robert but Robert said his car was in the shop and he had no way of traveling. Ready to say no thanks, Robert proceeded to tell Joel all the things he was going to do to him making Joel hard and horny. Joel agreed and asked for his address. “1575 W Cedar Lane, Lake in The Hills” said Robert. Joel had 2nd thoughts due to how far it was from the city but Robert was insisting on how it would be worth it and that Joel could even stay the night. Joel agreed and got the directions.

He got in his car and started to drive to Lake in the Hills, by this time it was 1:15am. As he was getting closer, the street lights were getting dimmer, the houses were further apart and the roads became pretty lonely. Joel’s high beams were on due to the fog that had set in. He made a right on Cedar lane but there were only 3 houses on that street but as he kept driving further, he saw a house that stood out all alone with no neighbors. He pulled into the driveway next to a van and Joel turned off the car. He got out of the car and all you here was the wind blowing with no sounds of human life. At that moment Joel had a gut feeling to get back in his car and drive away but then the porch light turned on.

Does Joel leave? Does Joel go in? Is Robert the fuck of his life? Find out next week on www.hookup.com

DANCE! DANCE! DANCE!

THIS IS SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LYRICS!All I wanna do is stay right here on the floor
Get lost in the night
And dance like there's no tomorrow
Don't care about the sunrise
Somebody please just hit the lights
All I wanna do is dance like there's no tomorrow

Today just wasn't my day
Everyone's getting me so fed up
I've gotta find a way
I know what can make me feel better
Stepping out in my best
Looking hotter than ever
Wherever the party is
That's where I'll be in a second

I'm so ready to move my body
Forget about all my problems
When I hear that song
I'ma lose control
Hey, here I go

All I wanna do is stay right here on the floor
Get lost in the night
And dance like there's no tomorrow
Don't care about the sunrise
Somebody please just hit the lights
All I wanna do is dance like there's no tomorrow

I'm loving the atmosphere
Feels like I'm floating in heaven
The music's all in my ear
Taking over me
My heart's racing
Feeling so Hollywood
How I got everybody staring
Their eyes are the cameras
And I'm loving all the attention

Get up, 'bout to move my body
Forget about all my problems
They're playing our song
I'ma lose control
Hey, here I go

All I wanna do is stay right here on the floor
Get lost in the night
And dance like there's no tomorrow
Don't care about the sunrise
Somebody please just hit the lights
All I wanna do is dance like there's no tomorrow

Please DJ
Don't say it's the last one
Cause I know what it means
And I don't want you to play no slow song
I'm still building the nerve to talk to that guy
Just give me another song and make it right

All I wanna do is stay right here on the floor
Get lost in the night
And dance like there's no tomorrow
Don't care about the sunrise
Somebody please just hit the lights
All I wanna do is dance like there's no tomorrow

All I wanna do is stay right here on the floor
Get lost in the night
And dance like there's no tomorrow
Don't care about the sunrise
Somebody please just hit the lights
All I wanna do is dance like there's no tomorrow

New Kylie Minogue! "WOW"

Her 2nd single "WoW" off her tenth studio album "X"

The song is dance/pop at it's finest! Catchy, fun, and campy! The album is not released in the U.S. untill Feb 12th 2008. Can't wait!

New Timbaland!

Timbaland's fourth single from his platinum selling album "Shockvalue"

The new song is "Scream" FT Nicole & Keri Hilson. The song is ok but nothing to scream about that's fo sho. The video is strange but Nicole sho looks hot!

Idol Rules Wednesday!

An estimated 29 million people watched American Idol on Wednesday night. Numbers are slightly down from last year but still rule TV. No other show came close to viewership. American Idol is so strong that commercial ads are running for $750 thousand for a 30 sec time slot. The ads are $1 million in May's season finale.

American Idol is such a goldmine that the show made $810 in ad revenue alone for the 2007 season. That doesn't sound like a show in decline. This is a true American Culture Phenomenon.

Paula Stalked on American Idol!

I was watching this last night and it gave me the creeps! This guy is sick and I was afraid for Paula and so was Simon. This man is definitely disturbed.

Daayum! Whopper Freakout!

My people sho do get mad if they can't get a whopper! Check it out!

Ashlee's new look!

She looks Hot! Jessica who? I looooove this look!

Seriously! Marriage is a Joke in Hollywood!

Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds have split! They just got married two weeks ago and they have ended their marriage. Like we didn't see that coming! I wonder if Eddie's boyfriend was at the reception? Hollywood should be banned from getting married.

Alicia Keys Back on Top!

Alicia Keys ragained the thrown of the number one position. She dethroned Radiohead's former number one album. The top then albums of the country have some interesting things happening. The soundtrack to the movie Juno has moved up to the 3rd position. The movie has gained much momentum by word of mouth and golden globe nomination. I saw the movie but the music was not memorable at all.

Mary J Blige still in the top ten and a re-entry by Fergie. She has really taken the music scene by storm this past year and a half. "The Dutchess" was released September 2006 and 5 top ten singles and 3 number 1 hits later has shown that Fergie is the new princess of pop!

1 Alicia Keys As I Am

2 Radiohead In Rainbows

3 Soundtrack Juno

4 Mary J. Blige Growing Pains

5 Taylor Swift Taylor Swift

6 Various Artists NOW 26

7 Chris Brown Exclusive

8 Eagles Long Road Out Of Eden

9 Garth Brooks The Ultimate Hits

10 Fergie The Dutchess

Billboard Hot 100

The Top 5 songs in America remain the same and it shows. Radio seems a bit boring these days and they're not playing the sick songs being released! Janet's new song "Feedback" climbed up the charts 84-52 which shows strong improvement. Blake Lewis' "Break Anotha" stalling low in the 80's. Missy's new song "Ching A Ling" is not getting much play and despite selling over a million copies in two weeks, Mary J Blige's new single "Just Fine" failed to ignite on radio. I'm saying radio is not playing the cuts!

1 Flo Rida Featuring T-Pain Low

2 Alicia Keys No One

3 Timbaland Featuring OneRepublic Apologize

4 Chris Brown Featuring T-Pain Kiss Kiss

5 Fergie Clumsy

George Telling Like It Is!

George Michael has just signed a record breaking deal. He is to pen a tell all book on his life holding nothing back. He was paid 6 million to Pen the book, making this the biggest book contract ever.

Um, I think we know the story. He was gay, he tried girls, he went to the bathroom, and the rest is Hollywood history!

PANTY PUDDING!

Dirty Rap Girl Khia does an advice column for a magazine called "Hood Magazine" yes "Hood!" Anyway read her advice:

Khia,Hey girl I hope you choose this to go in the magazine. My name is Lashawn and I'm seventeen down here in Dade county. Anyway I just had my second baby from a grown ass man, 27 to be exact, who said he was gone be there after the baby was born.
He kept fucking me while I was pregnant all the way up to the doctor said I couldn't have any more sex. After that he disappeared. I feel so lost. What should I do?- - LaShawn

Khia's response:
AMBER ALERT!
Somebody call the police, there's a molester on the loose!!!! Oh my bad, I guess I'm the only one who see's this is a crime. What's really hood Lashawn? Sorry to be so blunt but you were fucking a child molester and be glad he's gone. I know you may think you're in love, but this was never love on his end. This was a grown ass man fucking a vulnerable child, now about to be a mother. My advice to you is it's time to grow up and the first lesson you have to learn is:

Don't trust no nigga

Trust no man but God

Love yourself and respect your body

Don't let anyone talk you out of your panty pudding

You let this man fuck you with no protection and get you pregnant. Girl you slipping and its time for you to start preparing for your child. He or she needs you to give them the love that you missed along the way and trust me you won't find that love in any man, only from God and within yourself. Get prayed up and surround yourself with women of wisdom who can help you along the way. Why are you worried about the man, its time to give all that love and energy to your child and I promise.

My Girl Hillary on Tyra!

You go Hill! You do yo thang on the Tyra Banks Show! Show some love to those people that watch her show, but I didn't think there were that many of them. Hillary really trying to reach that minority vote. You gots mine Hill! Check out Hillary talking about Bill and his cheating ways. She is so right! We can't judge and we need to make decisions for ourselves when it comes to this matter.

The Democratic presidential candidate has a one hankie moment when she gets personal on Friday's "Tyra Banks Show."
Democratic presidential hopeful HILLARY CLINTON showed her emotional side on her recent visit to the "TYRA BANKS Show" -- even reaching for the tissues as she spoke to the talk show host about husband BILL CLINTON's affair with MONICA LEWINSKY, it was reported by

People.com.
"I really had to dig down deep and think hard about what was right for me, what was right for my family," the senator from New York told Tyra about the events of that time. "I never doubted Bill's love for me ever, and I never doubted my faith and my commitment to our daughter and our extended family."
Clinton, who had to publicly deal with the aftermath of her husband's relationship with the White House intern, went on to say she discovered it was important not to make decisions in the heat of the moment: "The momentary feelings ... you know, you are mad, you are really upset, you are disappointed .... all of that goes through your mind."
When asked what she would advise other women in a similar situation, Clinton replied: "I say you have to be true to yourself. No one story is the same as any other story. I don't know your reality. I can't possibly substitute my judgment for yours. You have to do what is right for you and that may not be what anybody else believes."
Tyra also put Hillary to the test, asking her what reality show she would want to guest on: "American Idol," "Dancing with the Stars" or "America's Next Top Model." Clinton diplomatically responded "America's Next Top Model," but said her talents would be more appropriate on "Dancing with the Stars," even joking, "You wouldn't want me to sing."
Clinton's appearance on the "Tyra Banks Show" airs Friday, Jan 18. Check your local listings for the time in your area.

Zac Effron Rushed to The Hospital!

No worries, my Zac is ok. He was rushed with appendicitis.

Ooh Wee, this was quite a scare for all of us! I mean all his pre-teen girl fan club. We were ready to send flowers and cards. I mean, the girls were all so concerned that we couldn't sleep.

Get Well Zac!

Idol Ratings Down But Still Rule!

Surprisingly American Idol ratings were down. According to Nielsen, 33.2 Million people watched American Idol. That was less than the 37.4 million debut of last year.

Idol has nothing to worry about. The ratings are strong and no other program came close to them. I have not watched the episode yet but I will tonight.

JANET!

Back and her new album cover is Hawt!

Gay In The City (Online Dating)

I know that many people, gay or straight, are not comfortable with online dating. But we are in a new time where meeting someone at the corner market is not as effective as putting yourself out there. I met someone online and it has been amazing ever since. Now it may not work for everyone but there are some good tips out there that may help you find that special someone. I did not obsess over it at all. I thought it was OK but I just did not make it a priority. Some of these tips I followed and some I just did not get to. Here are some tips to help my fellow online daters:

Stick to a one-hour rule
“Spend an hour a day max looking for dates online. Get an egg-timer if you have to. It might be tempting to stare at the screen for four hours at a stretch, but anything in excess is usually a bad thing. It’s like exercise. We all know those gung-ho people who start exercise regimens and overdo it that first week. Most of them get hurt, give up and never go back to it. The same happens in online dating. But if you pace yourself, you’ll lessen your odds of burnout—and increase your odds of success.” —Bev Bacon, author of Meet Me...Don’t Delete Me! Internet Dating: I’ve Made All the Mistakes So You Don’t Have To!

Share stories in your profile
“When writing your profile keep this rule in mind: Show, don’t tell. Instead of saying you’re funny or Fill your profile with lines that are so unique they could only be written by you.
down-to-earth, show you’re funny or down-to-earth by sharing a story about a time you were one of those things. This will help fill your profile with lines that are so unique they could only be written by you, and that will help you stand out from the crowd.” —Evan Marc Katz, founder of E-Cyrano.com and author of I Can’t Believe I’m Buying This Book: A Commonsense Guide to Successful Internet Dating

Add sex appeal to your subject line
“When you send out your initial e-mail to someone, give the subject line some sex appeal. Instead of sticking with a boring ‘Hello,’ reference something specific in their profile—such as, ‘Sunday NY Times Poolside’ or ‘Barcelona or Bust.’ By writing a fun and specific subject line, you will make connections faster.” —Liz H. Kelly, author of SMART Man Hunting

Keep your facts straight
“In a classic embarrassment of riches scenario, it’s common to find yourself in the situation of having too many online suitors. You can use technology to keep them straight—cut and paste everything from profiles and pictures to email and responses into spreadsheets or word processing programs, then create a file for each person you’ve contacted. This is especially useful at the beginning of your communications, when you’re still trying to remember which username goes with which real name. And make sure you review your date’s profile before emailing, phoning or meeting face-to-face.” —Alyssa Wodtke, co-author of Truth, Lies, and Online Dating: Secrets to Finding Romance on the Internet

Don’t share all your online horror stories
“Too often, singles get caught in that downward spiral of having a couple of bad dates in a row and then bringing that bad attitude onto the next date with them. When I was online dating, I met plenty of guys who would say, ‘Whew, you won’t believe some of the horrible online dates I’ve had lately’ and then they’d go into excruciating detail. It was like once they met someone they clicked with, they immediately felt the need to share all those bad experiences. No thanks!” —Cherie Burbach, author of At The Coffee Shop: If You Thought E-Dating Was For Freaks And Weirdos, Read This Book!

Know your target audience
“Keep in mind that you’re not just writing a profile that captures who you are; you are writing a profile to appeal to a potential love match. If you’re a straight woman, don’t compose a profile that would appeal to your girlfriends. Shopping and crafts are not male magnets. Avoid sounding too domestic and gushingly romantic, and edit out any hint of negativity like ‘Most guys are dogs’ or ‘Sick of liars!’ That tells a guy you distrust all men—and most will steer clear. The same principal applies to straight guys. Don’t come across sounding macho or distrusting; for example: ‘I don’t want to be your meal ticket.’ Sounding too sexy also turns women off, so avoid referring to yourself as ‘Adonis,’ or ‘Red-Hot Lover.’ Similarly, if you’re gay, don’t describe yourself to appeal to new friends—describe what will entice and attract potential partners.” —Judsen Culbreth, author of The Boomer’s Guide To Online Dating

Get personal in your initial e-mail
“Take the time to find something in a person’s profile that’s meaningful and significant, then comment on it. If you’re going after some hottie who’s getting a hundred emails a day, things can get competitive, so it’s important to set yourself apart. Saying ‘I can’t believe you actually got to the base camp of Mt. Everest’ will show that you have taken the time to craft a personalized response and aren’t just cutting and pasting some generic greeting. It’s better to send out ten carefully constructed emails than a hundred winks!” —Julie Ferman, online dating coach for CupidsCoach.com

Broaden your horizons
“Why limit yourself to your immediate geographical area? Don’t deny yourself the best possible mate just because they happen to live a few hundred miles away. Even if you don’t want to move, you may meet someone who would be willing to relocate just to be with you. When I was on Match.com in 1998, I did a search within 500 miles of where I was living. Drew lived 482 miles away. And now we’re married!” —Kathryn Lord, author of Find a Sweetheart Soon!

Post a photo already
“To get a decent number of responses, you must post a picture. Would you want to meet up with someone not having any clue what they look like? It not only saves you time but keeps your date’s expectations about what you look like at reasonable levels as well.” —Patti Feinstein, founder, Americasdatingcoach.com

Choose your photo carefully
“Before you post a picture, ask someone you trust to check it out and give you an honest opinion. You’d be amazed at how many bad pictures there are out there. I’ve seen guys who’ve posted photos with their ex-girlfriend standing next to them, whited out. A woman who posts a picture of her kissing a pixie dog is saying, ‘You are going to compete with a dog for my affections!’ Many women who don’t have kids post photos of themselves holding babies, which suggests you’re a single mom. Nothing wrong with that, of course—but you need to post a picture that portrays you accurately.” —Michael Lasky, co-author of Online Dating for Dummies

Don’t fall in love with an e-mail
“Too often, people think they’ve fallen in love with someone through email or over the phone before they even meet. People have actually quit their jobs and moved cross-country to be with someone without once meeting face-to-face—that’s not advisable! Face it: Your mind can conjure up lots of romantic notions when you’re reading these wonderful emails—but nothing replaces that face-to-face meeting. Do you feel a physical connection or not? It’s that elusive spark of attraction that separates great friends from lovers. Make sure it’s there before you let your fantasy override reality.” —Eva Eschner, author of Virtual Foreplay: Making Your Online Relationship a Real-Life Success

Size up the competition
“Do a search for people exactly like you. If you’re a 28-year-old woman living in Pittsburgh, do a search of other 28-year-old women in Pittsburgh, then read at least twenty profiles. You’ll find that most profiles are absolutely the same. This will help you learn to stand out from the crowd and offer something different. Ask yourself what sets you apart from the others, then highlight that.” —Ron Geraci, online dating consultant

Keep first dates short and sweet
“People can usually tell within the first five minutes if they are interested in someone, so why prolong the agony if you’re not? Instead of meeting for a looooong dinner on that first date, meet for a drink or cup of coffee instead. If you enjoy someone’s company, you can always extend the date—but if it’s obvious it’s not a love connection, you can guzzle your drink and be outta there within a half hour!” —Renee Piane, author of Love Mechanics

Try feng shui for success
“Use feng shui—an ancient Chinese practice of arranging objects to achieve harmony—to help you achieve success in online dating. Place a glass container of water, pebbles, and three sticks of bamboo to the left of your PC. This will help you ‘grow’ success to anything coming off your computer. To the right, place a mirror. Mirrors expand and enhance your search. And since romance is signified by pairs of things, get a pair of candles for your workspace. Light them once in awhile to bring the energy in.” —Ann Billow, author of The Feng Shui Toolbox with Power Tools (Billowingdesfengshui.com)

Don’t become a professional online dater
“Professional online daters are people who are so caught up in the thrill of online dating that they never get serious with anyone. They might go on a few dates with someone, or even get into a relationship, but at the first sign of trouble, they bolt back online to search for someone better. They have this grass-is-always-greener mentality, and it’s a dangerous pattern to fall into. Give the people you’re meeting the chance they deserve, or you might just miss out on that deserving person who could change your life.”

Chicago Spire

Aint this some shit!

They are building the tallest residential building and the sales office opened up today. Prices start from $750,000 to $40 million. Um, I wonder if I can get a subprime loan to get my ass in there? Seriously, who is gonna pay 30 million to live there?

BSD (MySpace For Your Dog)

Sorry but this deserves a bitch slap! Bitch slap of the day is having a MySpace page for your dog! LOL Yes you read that correctly. MySpace for your dog. A family member of mine made a MySpace page for her dog and the birth of her puppies.
Like yo dog is gonna check his MySpace page to see what the dog down the street is doing? LOL

Seriously

Whack! Bitch Slap Yo Ass for having a MySpace page for yo mutt!

Woof! Woof!

Just Warming You Guys Up!

Superbowl is almost here!

Doctor Atomic

Ok, so ya'll gonna fall out when I say this but I will be attending an Opera tonight! Yeah I said Opera! Ya'll don't trip! I likes to get my culture on!

So I told a few friends that I was going and after they stopped laughing I was told some shit. My boy Marco told me, now you know that the Opera ain't inter-active and that I can't be screaming "you sang it girl!" He is so wrong but so right. My ass woulda been shouting "Sing that shit girl!"

Anyway, I'm quite excited since this is my first Opera since 6th grade. Dang, why do I feel like Pretty Woman going to the Oprea but a cuter version. I hope I don't got to pee and I hope its not funny cuz my ass sho do laugh loud! But I guess it wont be funny cuz its about the atomic bomb. Whoops! Buzzkill of a subject. I wonder if they have drinks at the Oprea?

Here is what the Oprea is about:

The first act takes place about a month before the bomb is to be tested, and the second act is set in the early morning of July 15, 1945 (the day of the test). During the second act, time frequently slows down for the characters and then snaps back into reality. The opera ends in the final, prolonged moment before the bomb is detonated. Although the original commission for the opera suggested that U.S. physicist Robert Oppenheimer, the "father of the atomic bomb," be fashioned as a twentieth-century Doctor Faustus, Adams and Sellars deliberately attempted to avoid this characterization.
The work centers on Kitty Oppenheimer, Robert's wife, and her anxiety over her husband's project, set against tensions between key players in the Manhattan Project, especially General Leslie Groves. Sellars adapted the libretto from primary historical sources. The libretto also quotes from the Bhagavad Gita, songs of the Tewa, the Holy Sonnets of John Donne, and the poetry of Muriel Rukeyser.
Doctor Atomic is similar in style to previous Adams operas Nixon in China and The Death of Klinghoffer, both of which explored the characters and personalities that were involved in historical incidents, rather than a re-enactment of the events themselves.

Is Idol Losing Steam?

I don't think so! Idol is just losing some of their winners. Looks like Katherine Mcphee, Ruben Studdard, and Taylor Hicks all got dropped from their labels due to lackluster sales.

Katherine McPhee released her self titled album and has only sold 250,000 copies. Her three singles failed to enter the top twenty. Katherine is sexy with a decent voice but I think the record company did not market her well. They had her touring with Andrea Bocelli? She's not adult contemporary at all. They should have had her touring with Alicia Keys, Maroon 5, or even Pink.

Ruben Studdard released 3 albums selling only 2.4 million with all three albums. His singles don't get played and his record company failed to showcase him as the next Levert.

Taylor Hicks was the odd winner for American Idol but the silver haired blues guy had charisma and a voice that was sure to take him to the top. Unfortunately America was sold on Taylor with votes but didnt support buying his CD. Taylor is the only American Idol winner not to have sold a million copies on a debut CD.

What is this saying? Is American Idol losing steam? Naw, I predict record breaking viewing numbers on Fox tonight!

American Idol Season 7

Its that time of year again! Idol is back! Giving us what we want, AUDITIONS!

Gay In The City (Dating & The Single Vibe)

Sometimes as a gay single man you spend most of your time considering one person and one person only and that is you. You're always on the go, the life of the party, and throwing that single independent vibe out. You can't help it, especially if you have been single for awhile.

Once you start dating and find someone that you actually connect with, you begin to focus on dating that one person. Unfortunately your vibe still says that your single and all of sudden offers of other dates start to come in.

I had 3 offers in a matter of one week, something that did not happen while I was single. Last year I would have said, I need to go on these dates and see what they have to offer. Today is a different day. Even though I was so flattered by the interest, those offers come in and I have no interest to explore. They only make me want to explore and take bigger chances on getting to know the person I am dating.

So how do we show that we are not interested without actually saying it. Does my vibe have a hard time catching up with my feelings? At what point does your vibe change from single and looking! To happy and attached?

BSD (Lending A Helping Hand)

The Bitch Slap of the day is lending and helping hand to those that do not appreciate nor deserve it. When a family member or friend comes to you for help, its your initial reaction to say yes. But when that person bites the hand that feeds them it makes you think about helping the next person.

Not only has this happened to me once but twice. But mama did not raise no fool, I will consider who is asking for help next time. I don't care who it is, I will definitely be cautious on lending my help, ear, and home to those that are ungrateful!

So Whack!

Bitch Slap Yo Ass for being an inconsiderate and ungrateful!

New Christina!

Besides a new baby Christina gave us a new video! She looks amazing in the never before seen footage of her wedding. She looks so natural without all the make-up and her dress is amazing. Britney needs to start hanging with Christina, who was once perceived as the trashy one of the two. Looks like Christina has the last laugh! Go Christina!
