JLo is trying her hand at producing again even after her first attempt tanked with a cancelled show. She is now producing a dramatic Mini Series for Univision "Como Ama Una Mujer" (How a Woman Loves). The five part mini series has the same name of her Spanish CD released earlier this year (which tanked).
"The five part mini-series tells the story of a woman's journey to find her true soul-mate, but with her glamorous life and professional success come heartbreak and betrayals that threaten to break her spirit". Um, that's not all folks. Jennifer Lopez will perform the theme song associated with each episode at the end. Lip Syncing at its finest.
I just want to clarify that I while I am amazed at Dennis who has made the decision to stand by his faith even in death, I do not agree with it. His decision is personal and I respect that. His belief is different than mine but I can't say its wrong. I leave that judgement for a higher being. Let's not start attacking me for posting an article that I found a deeper meaning than a boy refusing medical treatment.

I usually don't post these types of things but I found this story to be inspirational. I took this from the AP. I just have to say to be so young and have so much faith is definitely admirable. He gave his life due to his belief in faith. At the age of 14, I find it amazing that someone his age has made the decision he has made. RIP
TLE, Washington (AP) -- A few hours after a judge ruled that a 14-year-old Jehovah's Witness sick with leukemia had the right to refuse a blood transfusion that might have helped him, the boy died, a newspaper reported.
A judge said Dennis Lindberg, shown in 2005, "understands the consequences of his decision."
Dennis Lindberg died Wednesday night at Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center, his father, Dennis Lindberg Sr., told the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. Hospital spokeswoman Teri Thomas said she could not confirm or deny anything about the case at the request of the boy's legal guardian, his aunt Dianna Mincin. Earlier Wednesday, Skagit County Superior Court Judge John Meyer had denied a motion by the state to force the boy to have a blood transfusion. The judge said the eighth-grader knew "he's basically giving himself a death sentence." "I don't believe Dennis' decision is the result of any coercion. He is mature and understands the consequences of his decision," the judge said during the hearing. "I don't think Dennis is trying to commit suicide. This isn't something Dennis just came upon, and he believes with the transfusion he would be unclean and unworthy." Doctors had given Dennis a 70 percent chance of surviving the next five years with the transfusions and other treatment, the judge added.
Doctors diagnosed the boy's leukemia in early November. They began chemotherapy at Children's Hospital, but stopped a week ago because his blood count was too low, the Skagit Valley Herald reported. The boy refused the transfusion on religious grounds. However, his birth parents, Lindberg and Rachel Wherry, who do not have custody and flew from Boise, Idaho, to be at the hearing, believed their son should have had the transfusion and suggested he had been unduly influenced by his aunt, who is also a Jehovah's Witness. The aunt has declined to talk about the case. The boy's father told the Post-Intelligencer the ruling shocked him but after visiting his son later Wednesday, he decided not to appeal. He said doctors told him Wednesday evening that the boy, unconscious since Tuesday, had likely suffered brain damage

Thanksgiving came and we all spent it with loved with ones our partners, friends, or family. We spent the day making an incredible meal to gather around the table and give thanks for all that we have been blessed with.
The Holidays usually bring the good nature in all of us. I believe each human being has a good nature some deeper than others. As we get ready for Christmas by decorating our trees, our homes, getting our grab bag gifts, or sending Christmas Cards, let's take a moment and acknowledge that there are people that aren't as blessed as most of us.
So my hopes are that you all look for an organization that appeals to you as an individual and donate your time or money. The money helps but showing the true meaning of having the Christmas spirit by donating your time to someone in need can make the world of difference to that person. Don't forget those in need and let's do something rather than watch another episode of Oprah showing us someone who cared enough to take action.

I mentioned the Josh Groban was on Oprah's Favorite things show singing from his Christmas CD "Noel"and I said his album was surely gonna get some sales. He sho did! Due to Oprah's visit on one of her highest rated themed shows of the year, Josh soars to the number one spot selling an astounding 405,000. Completely unheard of and an 81% jump. His album has been in the charts for 7 weeks.

Alicia Keys slips to number 2 with 349,000 copies. The High School Musical 2 soundtrack has a whopping 130% increase selling 185,000 copies and making it the top selling CD of 2007 so far. The big disappointment was the debut of Jordan Sparks selling only 119,000 copies making her the lowest debut of all the American Idols. She has a hot new song with Chris Brown that should get this album some sales.

Janet finally realized that her no good boyfriend has no business producing her new album. The untitled album has a February release date with a single due out next month. It will be executive produced by CEO of Def Jam, Antonio "LA" Reid. Jermaine Dupri will produce a couple of tracks but that's it. Dupri is busy working on Mariah Crazy Carey's new album which is due around the same time.
She learned her lesson that her man has no business in her album. Janet released 20 y.o. last November but failed to ignite a comeback. Her last two albums barely went platinum and virtually had no radio play. If this album fails her music career is done.
So dating is such a task for most of us. You go on many first dates trying to see if there is a possibility of meeting someone you can relate. In most cases you don't go beyond the first date because you flash forward unintentionally to the future and ask yourself questions like, Can I see myself with him? Do I think my friends would like him? Would he be honest? All the things that take time to learn but sometimes time is something you don't want to waste especially in your 30's.
Then comes along someone that has captured your interest and you go on a 2nd date. The 2nd date comes along and before you know it you are seeing someone more and more. Now you worry about things like questions from Friends asking your thoughts and feelings. The teasing of friends and family because you are beginning to like someone. You then have to worry about all those barriers, that you you made to guard you against hurt, going away.
In essence what I have learned is you take things day by day. You don't plan next month or even next weekend. What you do is enjoy the time spent together and learn from that experience. Dating is not easy especially gay dating but life isn't either. So just go with the flow and enjoy the moment. Block out the questions, block out the teasing, get to know a new side of yourself that has been suppressed for a long time. If it doesn't end up working out at least you were open to the possibility. The bitterness has died and optimism is born.

August Rush is an endearing film about a boy who is a musical prodigy compared to the likes of Mozart. August Rush, played by Freddie Highmore from finding neverland, is put an orphanage when he was born. His mother Lyla got pregnant from a magical night spent with Irish Rocker Louis.
Lyla, a Cello prodigy, has an overprotective father who is concerned with her music career above anything else. After a horrible car accident while pregnant, her father that took her baby away when she gave birth and said he died. The movie revolves on the search for her son after she learns that he is alive.
Music is the main character of this movie. Music ultimately is heard everywhere for August and its in his heart. It's the music that leads him to find his parents. It was an endearing film like I said but it lacked depth in the characters. Aside from August and the Wizard, played by Robin Williams, the other characters don't seem to have any depth. Russell was very stiff and blank but I warmed up to her in the end. Terrance Howard's character must have been a last minute addition.
The movie was good in the essence of message that it conveys. Music transcends any barriers and it speaks louder than voices its in our hearts.
In Living Color was my show back in the day. But then they did a Parody of Paula Abdul's music video "Promise of a New Day". I was through with the show after that. They were making fun of her weight gain and they style of the video. See for yourself how the world could be so cruel to a singing, dancing, acting, producing, judging, ICON.

The Dancing With The Stars finale aired yesterday and we all know who needs to just go home. Marie Osmond! Her whack ass has been on this show way too long. I am so over her non dancing self always trying to steal camera time. No big hype on any releases today. It is quite on the new music horizon. So here are a few CD's out in the past couple of weeks.
For all my boricua peeps, Pitbull released "Boatlift" today. Not thinking this will even go top 20. There is no promotional push and no big lead single like Daddy Yankee managed to pull off. I think this CD might need more than a boat lift in the charts.
DaBoyz is Back!!!!!!!!!!
They debut in the top 30 with their cover CD singing plenty of Motown hits. The CD has plenty of good reviews and it looks like the Boyz have not lost their voices but have lost a member. All they need is the right producer and a mainstream hit would be on the horizon.
Can't get Kylie out of our heads since she had a huge comeback in 2001 with her mega hit CD fever. Kylie has been out of the music scene for about four years now due to a courageous battle with breast cancer. Her 10Th album appropriate titled "X" is still mixed with her signature pop songs and has dabbled in some guitar rock sound with her lead single "Two of Hearts". "X" is out today in the UK but won't be released in the US until next year.

The Spice Girls "Greatest Hits" is released via Victoria Secret stores and will be in full release January 15, 2008. Unfortunately for the Spice Girls, their lead single "Headlines" has failed to ignite in US radio. It was a poor choice for a single or even a new recording for that matter. This is the last of the Spice Girls and Spice is what we need. The girls look glamorous compared to 10 years ago but we need some flavor in the music.
ZacEfron and Vanessa Hudgens are getting paaaaaaid for High School Musical 3. The movie is set for shooting in February 2008 and will be released in the big screen. Reports are circulating that Zac is making 3.2 million for the flick and Baby V is getting 1.75 million.

I've been saying this since for months now! Congrats Fergie! If the song reaches number 1, she will be tied with Mariah Carey and Paula Abdul for having 4 number 1 songs off a debut album!
Now I know I said last year that I was not gonna go shopping at 4am ever again but my girl E, wanted me to go with her and there were some good sales. Thanksgiving was at my house with all the friends coming over and playing domino's. Everyone stayed until about 3:30am then we had to leave to get in line at Target. Needless to say no sleep!
We get in line at target and it was cold as hell. We told my roomy to go sleep in the car for a bit since she had to be at work at 7am. I went to the car to start it and get some heat after standing there 15min. I turned on my girl's car but it didn't turn on. Looks like the battery was dead. So I went back in line told E her car was bunk. A guy in line offered a jump so she took it. But the car didn't start even with the jump. Now mind you, this is a 2003 Honda Element. So you know I was takin shit saying that shit was bunk. They looked and said lady you have no gas. I bout died on the floor laughing. Cuzya'll know that happened to me.
Another guy (peeps, he was talking about getting Britney's CD) offered us a ride to the gas station. So we went with sista girl to get some gas and came back. I poured some gas in the tank and asked her to start it. It still didn't work. I guess because my ass was dripping all the gas out of the can and not into the tank. Whoops! So E got it together fixed the can and I poured the gas in the tank. It still didn't start. So at this moment I was worried and for sure thought we gonna take a cab home and get this car towed. E looks at me and said damn, oh well. Let's get back in line I gots to get my sales. LOL
We got our sales my roomy took a cab to get her car came back got us, we dropped her off at the train and went home. I asked E what do we do? She said sleep and then wake up later and deal with it. No worries the car's in a safe place. I said cool!
Needless to say the car now works. She bought a new battery installed it and the car is fine. The moral of this story is that nothing will stop us from getting our Sales on Black Friday! Happy Thanksgiving.

So I was right, the second date is harder than the first. Sometimes that first date is very much like an interview and you are generally trying to show your best qualities. The second date is harder because you are not thinking that far ahead. You are just so focused that you hope the first date goes without a hitch.
Not only was I stuck on what do I wear? But also what do we do? I kept the location close to his work and his home due to the fact that he came close to me the first time. I got there early, again not trying to show my Latino time just yet, so I needed something to do. I went to Borders Book store to walk around. I remembered in our first date we talked about religion and spirituality and he was curious on my take on things. I actually found a small little pocket book that explained my beliefs. I bought it for him.
We met outside and he was very touched that I bought the book. He looked just as cute as he did when we first went out. We sat down and talked and talked. We laughed and talked some more. The restaurant was packed we got there around 7:30 and before we knew it there was no one left and the workers were moping and sweeping. We spent three hours of great conversation and throughout this entire time he looks at me directly in my eyes.
We left the restaurant and I gave him a ride to his car. We sat thanked each other and finally kissed. We both expressed our what a fun time. I got home he text me again thanking me for a wonderful evening. I text back the same. He then text in the morning saying hello. So needless to say, we are now moving into date 3!
Now date 3 should be easy and fun. We should be more active and just have the ability to joke around like friends. When is date 3? Where do you? What do you do? Stay tuned....

After my date ended on Friday I was not sure if he was gonna call me. I mean I thought we connected very well but I wasn't sure. Then Sunday came and he called. I was happy to see his number but was reluctant to answer to hear if it was the lets be freinds call or the I had a great time call.
Luckily he said he had a great time and wanted to know if we can have a 2nd date on Monday. I told him I was free and sure no prob. So I have a second date with him. Here's the messed up part, I have not had a second date so now I am more nervous of date 2 than I was about date 1.
What do I wear? Where do we go? What are we gonna talk about? I have now come to realize that the second date may be harder than the first. Well stay tuned to see what happends on date 2.
I went on a date on Friday as you all know and here's how it went.
I got to the restaurant at 6:30pm, again ya'll know I can't show my Latino time right away. I text him asking if he was there and he was running about 10min late. I thought, great this is gonna suck. LOL! Anyway, he called me and said he was parking and I told him not to worry I was at the bar with a drink. I then thought, well at least he's calling to check in.
I sat at the end of the bar and every time the door opened in the front I turned and looked to see if it was him walking in. After the fourth time, a guy walks in but he was hairy and scruffy with a pink shirt and he was swishing as he walked like he was on a runway. I had my phone in hand already texting a Friend to call me and get me out of this mess. Luckily that queen was there to see his friends. Finally my date walked in and he was very very cute. His picture was cute but much cuter in person. I then forgave that he was 25min late.
He knew I did not have much time cuz I had to meet my friends at 8 for a grab bag drawing. So we talked and ordered dinner. We talked and talked and laughed. He was quite charming and fun. All of a sudden I looked at the time it was 9:30 and I had to leave. He seemed a bit dissapointed and I was too. So I did the unthinkable, I asked him if he wanted to join me with my friends. He said sure! I know ya'll think that was a bad move, I knew that this boy aint calling me after this after meeting the gang.
While driving to meet my peeps I kept texting to please no stories and please be nice. As we walked to the restaurant, I told him this is as real as I am gonna get. Nothing to hide here now that he is meeting me with all my friends. We got there and the jokes began. My date had a blast with all of them and held his own. Everyone left and we closed the restaurant. I did apologize if my friends were too much but he actually loved them. At one point I thought some of them bitches were talking him too long and could I talk to my date? Dang, these hating bitches! LOL We walked to our cars and both said what a great time we had. I told him to call me if he wanted to hang out again. We both smiled and looked at each other for a moment then hugged and a kiss on the cheek.
He was such a nice guy, intelligent and quite cute. I left the ball in his court, I told him to call me if he wanted to hang out. Will he call? Did my friends overwhelm him? Was inviting him too much way too soon? Stay tuned....

I celebrated my 32nd birthday at the Reagle Beagle downtown. My Roomie and I had to take a pic before the drink fest began. Ok this is us being cute as hell.

So last we left off, I was blown off on an email saying "I like you as a friend" from my first date. Here we are again another day another first date. This is quite unusual he wants to meet for cocktails today unexpectedly and I look like total shit.
I have to sit here at work think of some of another outfit to represent. Even though I am wearing my new skinny jeans today, they may not be the best look for a first date. We are scheduled to meet at 6:30 I get out at 5:30. Now ya'll know I am gonna leave work early cuz I gots to get this togetha!
I'm limping from a softball injury which may get me jock points as well as sympathy. Thank God, my face is not swollen from the ball hitting me. We then are meeting at a location by my house which is perfect. I have no expectations of this date either but this is sort of unexpected. I thought we were gonna meet next week but here we go!

I don't like to report anything from perez because I want to steer from that. But I read this on his blog. Riskay a new rapper who labels herself as the "Queen of Ghetto" and rightfully so. You guys know her from movies like "The Day After Tomorrow", "Posiedon", and most notably from "The Phantom of the Opera". This actress is an opera trained singer that got a record contract after filming Phantom. Her new CD "Inside Out" is in stores now. Her first single "Slow Me Down" is absolutely wonderful. It's a breath of fresh air and I am so glad that she choose a mature sound. She is simply gourgous! I mean this young woman is absolutely beautiful and flawless. I went to see Starrbooty at the Gay Film Festival yesterday and that shit was funny as hell.
Starrbooty, starring RuPaul, is about a tranny dectective that has to go undercover as a prostitute to rescue her kidnapped tranny niece Cornisha! I know, that alone tells you all about this crazy ass movie. It's fun, campy, and trashy all the makes of a low budget soap opera.
Ms RuPaul was at the theater for a Q&A. She is tall as hell! She wore a black and white dress and she even sat and watched the movie. I felt bad for the director, who had a huge package showing through his jeans, sitting behind RuPaul and her damn big hair.
